Jehan Legac cominciò a lavorare come fotografo all'età di 14 anni quando lui si assicurò un lavoro fotografico di caccia ai gatti su tetti di Parigi. Dopo l'adolescenza si arruolò nella Marina militare francese e divenne il fotografo privato dell'Ammiraglio Philippe de Gaulle, figlio del grande Charles de Gaulle, questo ha permesso al giovane artista di navigare dalla nord della Polonia alle isole tropicali, girare nelle strade con la sua macchina fotografica e vedere con occhi nuovi il mondo. L'artista ritornò più tardi a Parigi dove lui cominciò un lavoro di disegno ed era capace di applicare la tecnologia di 3D al suo lavoro. A 28 anni abbandonò suo standard di vita in ricerca della deliziosa decadenza di Città come New York dove l'intraprendente giovane parigino usò la sua Nikon per mescolare modelli e "falso-celebs". Legac visse, lavorò, girò e girò in città come Miami in Florida e Caracas, in Venezuela.
Legac aprì poi un studio nel modernoquartiere di Parigi Neuilly dove si stabilì in per dipingere e fotografare, usando il colore, cromo e curve per produrre il "cyber-sensuale", capolavori multimediali che sono chiaramente: Legac. Inspirato dalla sua propria brama erotica, Legac mescola e fonde le sue influenze di tutta la vita fotografica, nel disegno e computer per creare lavori che sono evocativi e sexy, ma sempre con un timore riverenziale del potere della donna. Jehan Legac began work as a photographer at age 14 when he landed a job shooting photos of cats on Paris rooftops. In his late-teens he dutifully joined the French Navy and became a private photographer for Admiral Philippe de Gaulle, son of the great Charles de Gaulle, a stint that allowed the young artist to navigate from the North Pole to tropical islands, to roam foreign city streets with his camera and gain new eyes into the world,
The artist later returned to Paris where he began a successful design business and was able to apply the technology of 3D imaging to his design work.
At 28 he gave up his “conservative” life in search of the
delicious decadence of New York City where the enterprising young Parisian used his Nikon to mingle with models and pseudo-celebs. Legac also lived, worked, mixed and mingled in cities like Miami, Florida and Caracas, Venezuela. Legac eventually opened a studio in the hip Paris neighborhood of Neuilly where he settled in to paint and photograph, calling on color, chrome and curves to produce the cyber-sensual, multimedia masterpieces that are decidedly Legac. Inspired by his own erotic longing, Legac blends and fuses his lifelong influences of photography, design and computers to create works that are evocative and sexy, sometimes tongue-in-cheek, but always hopelessly in awe of the power of woman.
When not in Miami or Los Angeles, the artist resides on the
island of Ibiza in Spain with his beautiful wife and Muse,
