Nato a Grottammare (AP) il 19 dicembre 1949. Fotografa per hobby da quasi 35 anni ma i suoi scatti più “emozionanti” hanno impressionato le Velvia soltanto negli ultimi dieci anni. Le sue foto parlano un po’ di tutto, ma il contatto con la natura, favorito dalla professione di vivaista, lo spinge spesso a “fermare” il paesaggio agreste, nell’incessante divenire dei suoi molteplici e multiformi aspetti. Alcune delle migliori immagini sono raccolte nel libro fotografico, intitolato “Emozioni”, che recentemente ha fatto stampare ed in cui ha anche raccolto poesie e pensieri come questo del grande Henri Cartier - Bresson (1908-2004) dove la sua “filosofia fotografica” si ritrova pienamente: “Fotografare è trattenere il respiro quando tutte le nostre facoltà convergono per captare la realtà fugace; a questo punto l’immagine catturata diviene una grande gioia fisica e intellettuale. Fotografare è il riconoscere nello stesso istante e in una frazione di secondo un evento e il rigoroso assetto delle forme percepite con lo sguardo che esprimono e significano tale evento.
E’ porre nella stessa linea di mira la mente, gli occhi e il cuore.
E’ un modo di vivere”.
