Rosario Campione nasce a Furci Siculo (Messina) nel Febbraio del ’62, lavora come impiegato nella città di Messina. Appassionato di fotografia da quasi un trentennio, ha iniziato a fotografare con una Zenit di fabbricazione Russa comprata durante una gita a Roma nel mercato di Porta Portese. Nel tempo la grande passione è sempre più aumentata e di conseguenza anche il corredo fotografico, prima una Minolta x700 che utilizzava in accoppiata ad un Tamron 90mm per la macrofotografia e in seguito due Nikon 801/s gli hanno permesso di abbracciare diversi campi della fotografia. Per un periodo lungo sei anni aveva abbandonato questa passione che si portava dentro sin dall’infanzia, ma come si sa il primo amore non si scorda mai ed ecco all’inizio del 2005 che questa voglia di fotografia è riesplosa in modo fragoroso, negli ultimi due anni a rinnovato la sua attrezzatura con due Nikon digitali, una D70 e una D200 con ottiche che vanno da 12 al 200 mm che in questo lasso di tempo gli hanno dato parecchie soddisfazioni. Occupa buona parte della giornata in compagnia di questo stupendo hobby, quando ha ripreso a fotografare, consultando i siti internet che parlavano di fotografia, è stato colpito da una tecnica a lui sconosciuta, L’infrared o fotografia all’infrarosso, entrato in possesso dello specifico filtro si è messo alla prova per cercare di raggiungere qualche buon risultato. All’ inizio gli amici e i componenti dei vari forum che frequentava erano un tantino scettici ma con il passar del tempo riceveva sempre più mail che chiedevano lumi sulla manipolazione di questi file digitali. Le foto che allega sono un piccolo esempio di come si può stravolgere e colorare il mondo che ci circonda, con il solo aiuto di un filtro ed un po’ di post-produzione.
