Ho iniziato a disegnare durante l’ultimo anno di scuola, sulle pagine di diario, lavori fatti con la semplice penna Bic, ma già allora i risultati incuriosivano per le atmosfere che creavo.

Nel 2002 sentendo la necessità di superare le barriere geografiche, ho creato un sito web personale dove allestire una galleria dei miei lavori, In seguito ad una faticosa campagna di promozione del sito ho avuto i primi inviti ad esporre su altri siti d’arte.

Nello stesso anno ho partecipato ad alcuni eventi in provincia: Avellino, Torella dei Lombardi (Av), Calitri (Av) Pescopagano (Pz), Castelfranci (Av) e infine a Roma nel dicembre 2003.

Nel 2004 sono stato presente a Carife (Av), Calitri (Av) e Avellino, partecipando anche a qualche concorso artistico come quello di Artea a Città di Castello (Pg).

I paesaggi sono i soggetti che rappresento abitualmente, sia naturali che urbani, sono tutti frutto della mia creatività oppure rielaborazioni d'immagini viste in foto o in TV, Accade che l'ispirazione venga da una poesia o una canzone, a volte le parole diventano immagini. I film storici e di avventura sono quelli che offrono maggiori spunti e ambientazioni, Testimoni del tempo è ispirato da un film sulla regina Zenobia di Palmira oppure l'oasi ha origine dal romanzo di Valerio Massimo Manfredi "La torre della solitudine". Le locandine dei film al cinema hanno lo stesso potere creativo.

I miei quadri hanno influnze romantico-realista e surrealiste, i pittori a cui faccio spesso riferimento sono Il belga Renè Magritte e lo spagnolo Salvador Dalì, mentre gli artisti del romanticismo sono Francesco Hayez e David Caspar Friedrich, il realismo di Gustave Courbet è stato importante per l'uso del nero.

Molto importante per la mia formazione artistica è stato lo studio sui paesaggisti di Barbizon, tra i quali Millet, i suoi paesaggi erano molto spaziali e profondi.

Altra fonte da cui traggo ispirazione è la storia, osservando i monumenti dell’antichità, soprattutto quelli greci e romani, mentre li osservo la mia mente inizia a far scorrere le immagini delle gesta di popoli ed eroi reali o mitologici del passato.

i miti e le leggende mi hanno sempre affascinato e da ciò scaturiscono molti dei paesaggi che realizzo, la mia fantasia immagina quei luoghi dove sono avvenuti i grandi eventi della storia.
