Nasce nel 1953 a Greve in Chianti e risiede a Figline Valdarno. Dal 1978 è appassionato di fotografia e inizia fin da subito a partecipare a concorsi fotografici riscotendo immediati successi. Nel 1981, con altri amici, fonda il Circolo Fotografico Arno, ricoprendo sempre importanti cariche all'interno del consiglio direttivo. Nel 1984 si iscrive alla FIAF (Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche) e da allora inizia a partecipare ai concorsi fotografici nazionali con ottimi risultati. Nel 1994, per i continui successi ottenuti, la FIAF le riconosce l'onorificenza di A.F.I (Artista Fotografo Italiano). Fotografa con fotocamere Nikon e predilige il bianco e nero che con cura e sapienza sviluppa e stampa nella sua camera oscura. I suoi generi preferiti sono il reportage , il paesaggio e il ritratto ambientato. Alpinista per diletto sa cogliere fotograficamente tutti gli aspetti della montagna. Numerose sue opere sono state pubblicate su cataloghi e riviste, numerosissimi i premi vinti ai concorsi fotografici.
