Mi chiamo Rosa Di Stefano, sono nata a Noto,nel dicembre del 1960. Vivo a Siracusa, antica colonia greca, città affascinante, ricca di storia e cultura. Circondata dall’ arte e dalla bellezza dell’isola di Sicilia, ho trovato ispirazione e curiosità per l’arte stessa. La passione per il disegno e la pittura è sempre stata espressione essenziale di me,di ciò che mi circonda. La natura , i colori, le sfumature, hanno su di me una risonanza emozionale molto forte. Passare quindi, alla pittura è stato un fatto del tutto naturale. Avevo già impresse nella mente le forme, i chiaroscuri. Dovevo solo osservare e riportare sulla nuda tela ciò che avevo colto con l’anima. Pittura come ricerca interiore, come studio personale. Negli anni ’80 ho gestito per diversi anni uno studio fotografico assieme al fotografo Salvo Fronte, artista emergente. Ho lavorato al restauro di soffitti del ‘700, come decoratrice. Creo complementi d’arredo, utilizzando diverse tecniche e materiali. Inoltre dipingo su stoffa, vetro e legno. Mi occupo di restauro di tele, porcellane, doratura, decoupagè, stencil. Collaboro con studi di pittori locali.Oltre alla pittura ho coltivato l’interesse per la poesia, e la lettura. Scrivo, da quando ero poco più di una bambina, poesie e racconti, e da qualche anno pubblico su internet. Con l’avvento dell’era virtualeho scoperto il programma Photoshop,avvicinandomi così all’arte digitale. Elaboro le mie tele, le immagini e le fotografie. Dipingere con il mouse non ha lo stesso fascino dei colori pastosi e dei pennelli, ma mi ha aperto altre possibilità d’espressione, e poi…non sporca le mani!

My name is Rosa Di Stephen, I/you/they were born to Known, in December of 1960. I live in Syracuse, ancient Greek colony, fascinating city, rich of history and culture. Surrounded by the art and by the beauty of the island of Sicily, I have found inspiration and curiosity for the same art. The passion for the sketch and the painting has always been essential expression of me,di what it surrounds me. The nature, the colors, the tones, have on me a very strong emotional resonance. To pass therefore, to the painting you/he/she has been entirely a natural fact. I had already engraved in the mind the forms, the clear dark color. I had only to observe and to bring on the naked cloth what I had gathered with the soul. Painting as it seeks internal, as I study personal. In the years '80 I have managed for different years a photographic study together with the photographer Fronte Excepted, emergent artist. I have worked to the restauration of ceilings of the ‘700 as decorator. I create complements of I furnish, using different techniques and materials. Besides I paint on cloth, glass and wood. I deal me with restauration of cloths, porcelains, gilding, decoupagè, stencil. I collaborate with studies of local painters. Besides the painting I have cultivated the interest for the poetry and the reading. I write, from when I was few more than a child, poetries and stories, and from a few public years on internet. With the advent of the era discovered virtualeho the program Photoshop, approaching me so to the digital art. I elaborate my cloths, the images and the photos. Paint with the mouse doesn't have the same charm of the doughy colors and the brushes, but other possibilities of expression have opened me, and then… doesn't dirty the hands!

Preludio
