Margherita Fascione, graduate in Philosophy, Letters classical, and specialized in Aesthetics and theory of the arts, it is painter autodidactic; its classical formation and its interest for the nature, bring her/it to individualize, among the characters of the ancient Myths, the protagonists of its works. Venus, Circe, Orfeo and Euridice, Love and Psyche are protagonists of some of its first works; the characters, outlined with plastic strength, they are absorbed in an atmosphere onirics, in a space indefinite, in which the colors, pure, and strongly conflicting, they determine the depth and the visual priorities. The female characters are the more loved by the artist; as ethereal figures are identified and outlined with rapid brushstrokes and to read. Marcello Carlino, in a critical critique (Rome - April 2004), relatively to the work of the Fascione he writes: "a painting that seems to take back models and styles of that that it was the season of the Italian Symbolism of end Eight hundred but making them erotic with lightness and smiling politeness and accompanying the myth with an elegant against song of anachronism and separation." The expensive landscapes to the artist are the protagonists of some cloths realized in 2004; in them the colors, the light and the treated themes - the territory of Fortress of Evandro, the Garigliano, the woods - well they underline the bond between the artist and her earth. In her last cloths the Fascione experiments new artistic languages, using material, texture and different techniques in the same work; the characters are always tied to the world of the Myth (Labyrinth), but the female figures, also in this case uncontested protagonists of the works, are uneasy symbols of secluded messages. The colors, strong and conflicting - an intense red, symbol of sacrifice, generosity and aggressiveness and the blue one, symbol of spirituality and moral strength -, they transmit restlessness and they tie the observer to the work. |
