Uno scatto ,per me,e la capacita di cogliere al volo l’attimo “irripetibile”, che e la vera essenza della fotografia. E’ la capacita di scoprire il dettaglio che “scappa”,la situazione emblematica ma fuggevole, la dote di trovare tra le pieghe della vita di tutti i giorni la poesia e, a volte, anche la disperazione. La macchina fotografica ha sempre esercitato su di me un fascino irresistibile,qualcosa di inspiegabile. Da ragazzo ,con una "scatoletta" da quattro soldi riprendevo tutto cio che mi capitava sotto "tiro", poi sviluppavo e stampavo le pellicole in bianco e nero con un ingranditore di fortuna provando sensazioni indescrivibili nel veder comparire a poco a poco,sulla carta,le immagini riprese. L'avvento del digitale mi ha "costretto" ad abbandonare l'amato "rullino" non riuscendo a resistere al "fascino" dei pixel ed alla "camera oscura" al computer. Ho una Nikon D100 ed una serie di ottiche originali non disdegnando,spesso,di usare la prima digitale che ho acquistato ovvero la Nikon 5700 una compatta davvero eccezionale. Vivo e lavoro a Messina ma sono nato a Capo D'Orlando un centro turistico che si trova,sul mare, a meta strada tra Messina e Palermo proprio di fronte alle Isole Eolie. Cinque anni fa sono entrato a far parte dell'UIF (Unione Italiana Fotoamatori). In questa associazione di fotoamatori che opera a livello nazionale ho l'incarico di curare il settore "editoria" ed il web. Ho alle spalle una lunga attivita di Pubblicista durante la quale numerose testate nazionali e regionali hanno pubblicato mie foto. Nel dicembre del 2004 in un inserto di trenta pagine pubblicato da “La Sicilia” di Catania alcune mie immagini raffiguranti volti caratteristici di contadini siciliani hanno illustrato tre racconti di Folco Quilici,Ermanno Rea e Paolo Ruffilli.

I have a Nikon D100 and an optical series originates not scorning them, often, to use first digital them that I have acquired that is 5700 Nikon one compact indeed exceptional. Alive and job to Messina but is been born to Head D' Orlando a tourist center that is found, on the sea, to half road between Messina and Palermo just of forehead to the Aeolian Islands. Five years ago have entered to make part of the UIF (Italian Union Fotoamatori). In this association of fotoamatori that operates to national level has the assignment to cure "the editoria" field and the web. I have to the shoulders a long activity of Publicist during which numerous national and regional heads have published my photo. In the December of 2004 in a file of thirty pages published from "the Sicily" of Catania some my representing images characteristic faces of peasants sicialian have illustrated three storys of Folco Quilici, Ermanno Rea and Paul Ruffilli.
